Goshen born and raised
Dr. Whitney Richmond
Dr. Whitney Richmond is a Maple City native and graduate of Goshen High School. After earning her undergraduate degree from Purdue University and her doctorate at Indiana University School of Dentistry, she returned to join Dr. John Deuschle at a local practice just down the road from her childhood home. Today, she prides herself on providing quality, affordable dental care to her friends and neighbors in the surrounding communities.
In her spare time, Dr. Richmond is also an accomplished artist whose sculptures have been featured at Purdue University and throughout Goshen and Elkhart. She is an active member of the Goshen jeweler’s guild, and loves donating her time to charitable causes in her hometown.
Dr. Richmond is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and North Central Dental Society (NCDS), and is supported by a talented and friendly staff that began working together in 1983. Read below to learn more about them!
dental assistant
Ellen
Ellen attended Goshen High School and Goshen College before joining our practice as a dental assistant to Dr. Deuschle in 1982. Ever since then, she’s been proud to take care of each of our patients as if they were part of her own family.
Ellen lives in Goshen with her husband Mike, and is a regular attendee at Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church. One of her favorite summertime activities is taking her five children to The Chief for ice cream, and enjoying the city’s parks with her three beautiful grandchildren.
office manager
Terri
If you’ve visited our office at any time since 1983, odds are Terri knows you by name. No matter how busy she is scheduling appointments and juggling office needs, she’s always happy to stop, listen, and share a laugh with patients.
A lifelong Goshen resident and graduate of Bethany Christian High School, Terri has three children and recently welcomed a gorgeous granddaughter into the world. She loves walking the paths with them at Fidler Pond, and treating them to dinner at Goshen’s many downtown restaurants.

Laura
Laura is especially great when it comes working with kids, thanks to two young boys who always keep her on her toes. In fact, she loves working with children so much, she even substitute teaches on some of her days off.
Laura grew up right here in Goshen, and graduated from Goshen High School before earning her Dental Hygiene degree from IUSB in 2005. When she’s not busy caring for patients or sharpening her dental skills, you can usually find her enjoying the city’s beautiful parks with her growing family.
licensed dental hygienist
Ronda
As former president of the Elkhart/Goshen Dental Hygiene Association, Ronda understands the diverse needs of our patients as well as anyone. Since graduating from IUSB in 1984, she’s gained over 35 years of experience across a wide variety of dental specialties.
An Elkhart native and Concord High School graduate, Ronda was part of the famous Concord High band that performed in both Hawaii and at the Macy’s Parade in New York. Today, she loves nothing more than frequenting Goshen’s best restaurants with both of her children and her husband Randy.
licensed dental hygienist
Sue
Another born-and-raised Goshen native, Sue brings over 25 years of dental hygiene experience to our team. After earning her degree from IUSB, she went on to earn several important medical certifications, including CPR.
In addition to making our patients feel right at home, her favorite things to do are walking the trails near the Goshen dam or relaxing on the boat at Gilead Lake with her husband, Chad. Be sure to ask her about her son Taylor, the physical therapy doctor in Seattle, and her daughter Kaitie, who’s studying fashion at IU.
